Fair Housing Napa Valley (FHNV)

Fair Housing Napa Valley (FHNV)

What They Do:

Work to eliminate housing discrimination and ensure equal housing opportunities for all. Protecting housing rights is more vital than ever considering the local/regional housing crisis. Provide residents with education, counseling, mediation, and investigative assistance regarding all housing issues, and build collaborative community partnerships.

In the aftermath of the 2017 Napa Wildfires, FHNV partnered with other nonprofits in the community to assist with recovery efforts and disaster-specific housing trends in addition to its regular services.

Every year, FHNV helps thousands of Napa County residents, fighting for residents’ housing rights and striving to promote equal housing opportunities and inclusive communities for all residents. If a client feels they have been discriminated against, their complaint will be investigated. If discrimination is proven, fair housing law will be enforced.

Progress is made by recognizing and addressing discriminatory acts, one case at a time.
