If Given A Chance Foundation

What They Do:

Napa County High School graduates who have overcome extraordinary challenges are provided financial aid and mentoring so that they can continue college or vocational education to become positive members of the community.

The If Given A Chance Foundation awards monetary assistance and mentoring support to students who
have overcome extraordinary challenges. Since 1995, the Foundation has sponsored more than 281 Napa Valley teens through a three-part program – Discovery, Recognition, and Support. Students who demonstrate committed determination to stay on the right path through college or a vocational training program are provided funds, training, guidance, and emotional support to achieve and maintain success as they complete their chosen life enhancing educational program.

For 21 years I have watched If Given A Chance help troubled but courageous high school graduates advance their education beyond high school. Its mentoring and financial help has made graduates strong contributors to our Napa Valley community.
