Moving Forward

Moving Forward

What They Do:

Provide residential support to postsecondary adults with developmental, learning, and autism spectrum disabilities. Offer training in transitional and independent living skills. Moving Forward’s mission is to help each individual achieve his or her highest potential in social, vocational, and independent living skills within a safe and supportive community environment.

Moving Forward Towards Independence offers unique advantages. It is a true community, intended to encourage the growth of the whole person as well as support progress in managing the mechanics of daily living from post-secondary through end of life.

Graduated Support Levels include: structured on-campus group living with 24/7 support; near-campus apartment living; and off-campus community living.

My son has been a MF client for over 16 years. Throughout this time he’s received invaluable training, guidance, and leadership by the MFTI staff. They are competent, compassionate, and creative, have encouraged responsible decision making, and have offered support. Through phone calls and emails the staff work in partnership with us, and our confidence in their abilities and their judgment has given us peace of mind.
