Napa School of Martial Arts
What They Do:
Help Napa’s at-risk and low-income children, teens, and adults learn and practice martial arts and self-defense in a positive, non-judgmental environment. Your donations help these students learn life-long lessons, including the importance of healthy eating, hard work, honesty, and respect.
Napa School of Martial Arts gives Napa’s at-risk and low-income children, teens, and adults life-long lessons and provides positive outlets for their energy. Fees are kept far below market in order to enable students to study. Scholarships are available for those who simply cannot afford to pay.
We teach Tae Kwon Do (an Olympic sport featuring kicking), Hap Ki Do (hand-to-hand art blending Judo and Jiu-Jitsu), and Kum Do (Korean swordwork, similar to the Japanese Iaido/Samurai).
Our goal is to move into a permanent location and offer classes six days per week. This will allow us to expand offerings and create a “home” for students as well as for those in after-school programs. Won’t you help us create this dream?
The Napa Valley Wine Train supports The Napa School of Martial Arts and its efforts to provide quality, traditional martial arts training to low-income and at-risk children, teens and adults.
